Privacy Policy

We collect only what we need to quote, schedule, and complete work at your home:

• Contact details — your name, email address, phone number, and service address, provided when you request a quote or estimate, book a job, or contact us.
• Job details — the services you are interested in, project descriptions, photos you choose to send, and scheduling preferences.
• Payment information — processed by our payment provider (Square/Stripe). We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
• Usage data — basic analytics about how our site is used, collected through privacy-conscious tooling. We deliberately do not send your phone number to our analytics provider; your full contact record stays in our own system.

We use your information to:

• Prepare and send quotes and estimates you request;
• Schedule, confirm, and complete your service, and follow up afterward;
• Send appointment confirmations, reminders, and technician-arrival updates;
• Respond to your questions and provide customer support;
• Process payments and send receipts;
• Meet our legal, tax, and licensing obligations.

We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or your text-messaging consent with any third party for their marketing. Your number is used only to reach you about your own service with Cairn Home Co..

When you provide your phone number and book or request an estimate, you agree to receive text messages from Cairn Home Co. related to your service — appointment confirmations, reminders, technician-arrival updates, and replies to questions you send us. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies.

Text messaging is never a condition of purchasing any service. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message; reply HELP for help. We share your number with our messaging provider solely so it can deliver these messages on our behalf, never for that provider’s own purposes.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

• Service providers who help us operate, and only to perform work for us. Naming them rather than hiding behind “our vendors”: Jobber (scheduling, quotes, invoices and the client record), Square (card and bank payments — we never see or store your full card number), Twilio (text messaging), Resend (email), and Supabase (our own database). Each holds only what it needs and is bound to use it for us alone;
• Licensed subcontractors assigned to your job, limited to what they need to complete the work;
• Authorities when required by law, or to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information, and we keep it only as long as needed to serve you and to meet our legal and business obligations. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you, by emailing hello@cairnhomeco.com. You can stop text messages any time by replying STOP, and unsubscribe from emails using the link in any message.

Our services are for homeowners and are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Sometimes you contact us directly — through this website, by phone, or by text. Other times a lead platform passes your details to us because you asked for a quote there. Those platforms include Angi, Home Depot Pro Referral, Thumbtack and TaskRabbit.

When a platform sends us a lead we receive what you gave that platform — typically your name, the job you described, and a way to reach you. What that platform does with your information is governed by its own privacy policy, not this one. If you would rather we did not hold a lead they sent us, tell us and we will delete it.

This site uses a small number of cookies: ones that make the site work (for example, remembering that you unlocked a quote you were sent), and privacy-respecting analytics that tell us which pages people read. We do not run advertising trackers and we do not sell traffic data.

If you were sent a quote link, we record when it was opened and viewed. That is so we know whether to follow up — not to build a profile of you.

Your browser can block or delete cookies at any time. The site still works; you may just have to re-enter a quote code.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date above. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
