Tiered Cedar Planter

A cascading cedar planter that keeps every crop in its own tier.

If you want to grow a few different things in a small footprint, a tiered planter beats a row of pots. Angled cedar legs form an A-frame, and a stack of open troughs steps back and up so each level gets its own light and its own soil — herbs up top, strawberries in the middle, flowers along the bottom, nothing crowding anything else.

We build it from real cedar so it shrugs off New England weather, and it stands on its own on a deck, patio, or balcony — no wall needed. Pick how many tiers you want and how long the troughs run, and the estimate updates as you go. We build it in the shop and set it in place. You just add soil and plant.
